Tentosoft Solutions Private Limited, trading as TentoVision ("TentoVision", "we", "us", "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This End User Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the TentoVision cloud video management service, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

Global Compliance
We handle your personal data in accordance with all applicable data protection and privacy laws in the jurisdictions in which we operate and in which you are located.
1. What Information We Collect About You
The personal information we collect about you depends on how you use the TentoVision service. We collect data in the following ways:
1.1 Account Information
When your Provider creates a TentoVision account on your behalf, or when you create your own account at www.tentovision.com, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your contact phone number (where provided)
- Your shipping address (where you order hardware such as a Cloud Adapter)
- Your company name (where applicable)
This information is used to create and manage your account and to deliver the services you have requested.
1.2 Device and Usage Data
When you use the TentoVision app or platform, we collect information about how you interact with the service, including:
- The names and identifiers of cameras and devices you connect to your account
- App settings and configuration preferences
- Features you use and actions you take within the app or platform
- Session duration, login timestamps, and access frequency
- Device type, operating system, and browser type
We collect device names so that we can display a meaningful and personalised list of cameras for you to manage. We collect usage data to understand how the service is being used in aggregate, so we can continue to improve it.
1.3 Camera Discovery Data
To connect professional CCTV cameras to your TentoVision account, the TentoVision app scans your local network to identify compatible devices and returns that information to our servers. This scan enables our system to discover available cameras and add them to your account.
Important: We store network and device data only for the cameras you explicitly choose to add to your account. We do not retain information about other devices on your network.
1.4 Video Data and Analytics Metadata
The core purpose of the TentoVision service is to record, store, and enable you to review video footage from your connected cameras. We store this video in the TentoVision cloud for the duration specified by your subscription plan.
Analytics Feature (Optional)
If you enable the Analytics feature within the TentoVision app, our software will analyse your recorded footage for objects and text. This enables you to search your video by specific detected content — for example, by vehicle type, persons, or visible text such as vehicle registration plates.
The following applies to analytics metadata:
- Object labels and text extracted from your footage are stored for the same duration as the corresponding video
- Analytics metadata is deleted on the same schedule as the video to which it relates
- Enabling analytics is optional and within your control
- Analytics processing is performed to enhance your ability to search and retrieve footage efficiently
1.5 Payment Information
TentoVision does not collect or store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by our payment service providers. If you pay for your subscription or purchase hardware directly through TentoVision, payments are processed by our payment processors, who operate under their own privacy policies. If you pay your subscription fee directly to your Provider, your payment relationship is entirely with that Provider and TentoVision has no access to your payment information.
1.6 IP Addresses and Cookies
We collect IP addresses from visitors to the TentoVision website and platform. IP addresses help us identify approximate user location, detect and block abusive or disruptive activity, and understand the geographic distribution of our user base. We also use cookies on our website and platform. Please refer to Section 10 for our full Cookies Policy.

You Own Your Video
You retain ownership of all video footage recorded through your TentoVision account. TentoVision does not claim any rights over your content. We process and store your footage solely to provide the service to you.
When We Access Your Video
We will access your video footage only in the following circumstances:
- With your express permission — for example, if you contact our support team about a specific technical issue and consent to us viewing relevant footage to assist you
- Where we are legally required to do so by a valid court order, law enforcement request, or applicable legal process
Privacy Guarantee: In all other circumstances, your video is inaccessible to TentoVision staff. Your footage is stored in encrypted cloud storage and is not reviewed, sold, or shared with third parties for any commercial purpose.
Your Surveillance Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that the use of cameras connected to the TentoVision service complies with all applicable surveillance, workplace monitoring, and privacy laws in your jurisdiction. This includes:
- Obtaining any required consents from individuals who may be captured in recordings
- Displaying any required notices
- Ensuring that cameras are not positioned in locations where recording is prohibited by law
5. Where Your Data Is Stored
Video Footage Storage
Stored in secure public cloud infrastructure operated by third-party providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other equivalent secure cloud providers.
Encryption
All video footage is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols.
Regional Storage
The specific infrastructure and data centre region used is determined based on your geographic location at the time of account registration.
Analytics Data
Usage data and analytics metadata (not video footage) may be processed and stored by third-party service providers in accordance with their privacy policies.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
6.1 Video Footage
Video footage is stored in the TentoVision cloud for the number of days specified by your subscription plan. Once the retention period expires, footage is automatically and permanently deleted.
Important: TentoVision does not maintain backups of expired footage — once deleted, it cannot be recovered.
6.2 Shared Clips and Motion Events
If you create a shared link to a video clip or a motion event, the footage behind that link is not automatically deleted when the standard retention period expires. Shared video remains stored until you actively remove the share link, or until your account is deleted.
- If you delete a motion event within the TentoVision mobile app, the underlying video is not deleted and may be recoverable by our support team
- If you delete a recording session through the TentoVision website, the footage for that session is immediately and permanently deleted
6.3 Device Deletion
If you remove a camera device from your TentoVision account, all video footage and database records associated with that device are deleted immediately. However, any video footage accessible via existing shared links for that device will not be automatically deleted — those links will continue to work until you deactivate them.
6.4 Account Data and Other Personal Information
We retain account data and personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period following account closure to meet our legal, financial, and dispute resolution obligations. Marketing consent data is retained until you withdraw consent. Anonymised or aggregated data derived from your usage may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement purposes.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law in your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal data:
Right to Access
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will provide this free of charge in most circumstances.
Right to Correction
You may ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.

You may have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Once your account has been deleted:
- Your email address is removed from our active database immediately
- All video footage (including video behind shared links) is permanently deleted within 48 hours
- Your device names and clip titles and descriptions are removed from our database

9. AI and Platform Analytics
Aggregated Usage Analytics
TentoVision analyses aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how the service is used as a whole and to inform improvements to the platform. This analysis does not identify you as an individual. Individual-level usage data is reviewed only in the context of investigating a specific issue you have reported to our support team.
AI Model Training
TentoVision may use anonymised, aggregated data derived from platform usage to develop and improve AI-powered features within the service. If you opt in to allowing your cameras to contribute to AI model training, you acknowledge that the resulting models may be made available to other users of the service.
TentoVision will not share identifiable personal data or video footage with third parties in connection with AI training, and we will not use your footage for AI training without your opt-in consent.
Video Analytics (Object and Text Detection)
As described earlier, enabling the Analytics feature is optional. Analytics metadata is processed and stored solely to provide you with the ability to search your own footage. This data is:
- Not used for any external purpose
- Not shared with third parties
- Deleted on the same schedule as the video it relates to
Biometric Processing
TentoVision does not perform facial recognition or biometric identification unless such functionality is explicitly enabled and lawfully configured in accordance with applicable law. Where such features are made available, users are solely responsible for ensuring they are used only with appropriate legal authority, user consent, and in compliance with applicable biometric and privacy laws in their jurisdiction.
11. Children's Privacy
The TentoVision service is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to TentoVision without appropriate parental or guardian consent, please contact us at sales@tentovision.com and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.
12. Changes to This Policy
TentoVision may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we offer, or applicable law.
How We Notify You
When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post the updated policy at www.tentovision.com/privacy-policy, with the revised version date clearly indicated.
Continued use of the TentoVision service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the service and may request deletion of your account.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes TentoVision's liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protection or data protection legislation in your jurisdiction.
Subject to the above, TentoVision shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from data processing activities conducted in compliance with this Policy and with applicable law. This Policy should be read alongside the liability provisions in the TentoVision End User Terms of Service.
