Before You Start
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TentoVision cloud video management platform, including the website at www.tentovision.com, the management platform at app.tentovision.com, and the TentoVision mobile application ("Service"). The Service is operated by Tentosoft Solutions Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India ("TentoVision", "we", "us").
Important Notice
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Partner Accounts
If your account was set up for you by a TentoVision Partner (your CCTV installer, integrator, or dealer), some of these Terms may be modified by your agreement with that Partner. Your Partner is your primary point of contact for billing, setup, and day-to-day support unless stated otherwise.
About the Service
TentoVision provides cloud-based video management software that allows you to connect, monitor, record, and manage professional CCTV cameras and security devices. The Service enables you to:
Live Video Streaming
Stream live video from connected cameras through a web browser or mobile application
Cloud Recording
Record and store video footage in the TentoVision cloud for the duration of your chosen plan
Review & Archive
Review recorded footage, create motion event alerts, and archive specific video clips
Access Management
Share access to specific cameras or clips with authorised users
Device Management
Manage devices, users, and settings through the TentoVision platform
Smart Alerts
Receive intelligent motion event notifications and custom alerts
Feature Availability
The features available to you depend on your subscription plan. TentoVision may add, modify, or remove features from time to time. Where a change significantly affects your use of the Service, we will give you reasonable advance notice.
Your Account
2.1 Account Creation
To use most features of the Service, you need a TentoVision account. Your account may be created by your Partner on your behalf, or you may create one yourself at www.tentovision.com. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
2.2 Account Security
You must keep your login credentials (username and password) confidential. You must not share your credentials with others. If you suspect that your account has been compromised, you must notify us immediately at sales@tentovision.com. TentoVision is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to keep your credentials secure.
2.3 Accurate Information
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account, and keep that information up to date. TentoVision reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where the information provided is false, misleading, or incomplete.
2.4 Account Eligibility
The Service is intended for individuals aged 18 and above, or for organisations acting through authorised representatives who are at least 18 years old. If you are below this age, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Security Best Practices
- Use a strong, unique password
- Enable two-factor authentication when available
- Never share your credentials
- Log out from shared devices
- Report suspicious activity immediately
Subscriptions and Plans
3.1 Available Plans
TentoVision offers a range of subscription plans with different features, storage durations, and device limits. The plans available to you and their pricing will be displayed in your account or communicated by your Partner.
3.2 Your Payment Relationship
How you pay for the Service depends on how your account was set up:
Paying TentoVision Directly
If you created your own account through www.tentovision.com, or if your Partner has arranged for you to pay TentoVision directly, you will provide a payment method to TentoVision and will be billed on the schedule applicable to your plan.
Paying Your Partner
If your Partner manages your billing directly, your payment relationship is entirely with your Partner. Any subscription changes or cancellations must be arranged through your Partner.
3.3 Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
3.4 Price Changes
TentoVision may change subscription prices. Where you pay TentoVision directly, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price. If you do not accept the change, you must cancel your subscription before the new price applies.
3.5 No Refunds for Partial Periods
Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription during a billing period, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of that period, but no refund will be issued for any unused time.
3.6 Cloud Adapter Refund (Self-Registered Users Only)
7-Day Refund Window
If you registered your own account through www.tentovision.com and you decide not to continue after your free trial period ends, you may request a refund of the price you paid for your TentoVision Cloud Adapter by emailing sales@tentovision.com within 7 days of your free trial ending. Refund requests received after this window cannot be accepted.
3.7 Suspension for Non-Payment (Partner-Managed Accounts)
Payment Suspension Notice
Where your account is managed through a TentoVision Partner, and that Partner fails to pay TentoVision for your plan, TentoVision may suspend your access to the Service without direct notice to you. TentoVision is not liable to you for any loss arising from such a suspension. You should direct any concerns to your Partner.
Acceptable Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. In particular, you must not:
- Use the Service to monitor individuals without their knowledge or consent where this is prohibited by applicable law
- Record or store footage in locations where recording is legally prohibited
- Interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to TentoVision's systems, networks, or those of other users
- Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or scrapers to access or extract data from the Service without TentoVision's prior written consent
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with any security features of the Service
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Service
- Use the Service to harass, intimidate, stalk, or invade the privacy of any person
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, including data protection and surveillance laws
Enforcement
TentoVision may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these acceptable use obligations. You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the Service through your account comply with these requirements.
Your Video Data
5.1 Ownership
You Own Your Data
You own the video footage recorded through your account. TentoVision does not claim ownership of your content. TentoVision processes and stores your video solely to provide the Service to you.
5.2 Retention and Deletion
Video footage is stored in the TentoVision cloud for the duration specified in your subscription plan. Once the retention period expires, footage is automatically and permanently deleted. TentoVision does not maintain backups of expired footage.
5.3 Shared Clips
If you create a shared link to a clip or motion event, that video is retained until you remove the share link or delete your account. Shared links continue to be accessible until you take action to remove them.
5.4 Deleting Footage
Permanent Deletion
If you delete a recording session via the TentoVision website, that footage is permanently deleted immediately and cannot be recovered. Deleting a motion event in the mobile application does not delete the underlying video, which can be recovered by contacting support.
5.5 Deleting a Device
Removing a camera device from your account immediately deletes all video and records associated with that device, except for video behind active shared links, which continues to be accessible.
5.6 Account Deletion
If you delete your account, all video footage is permanently deleted within 48 hours and your personal data is removed from our active database. Anonymised usage data may be retained. Financial transaction records are retained for the applicable statutory period.
5.7 TentoVision's Access to Your Video
Privacy Protection
TentoVision will not access your video footage except: (a) with your express written consent, for example to diagnose a specific technical issue; or (b) where required to do so by a valid court order, law enforcement request, or legal process.
Fair Use Policy
To protect the quality and availability of the Service for all users, the following fair use limits apply:
6.1 Motion-Triggered Recording
If your plan includes motion-triggered recording, it assumes an average of up to 6 hours of motion event uploads per camera per day. If your usage consistently and materially exceeds this, TentoVision may, after giving you notice, apply restrictions including reducing upload rates, requiring an upgrade to a higher plan, or adjusting video bitrate. We will always contact you before implementing any restriction.
6.2 Video Archiving
You may archive specific events to retain them beyond your standard plan retention period. If TentoVision determines that the volume of your archived content is unreasonably high relative to normal use, we may contact you to discuss your storage requirements and, if necessary, require an upgrade or apply reasonable limits.
6.3 Video Downloads
Download Limits
You can download individual motion events or up to 1 hour of footage at a time using the download tools in the Service. If you need to export a larger volume of footage — for example, for an insurance claim or legal matter — please contact sales@tentovision.com. We will help where we can. Additional charges may apply to large-scale exports, and we will always inform you of any cost before proceeding.
Cloud Adapter Warranty
5-Year Limited Warranty
All TentoVision Cloud Adapters are covered by a 5-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty is available globally; where local laws provide greater rights, those rights apply in addition to this warranty.
What is Covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. TentoVision will, at its option, repair or replace a defective Cloud Adapter or defective component. All warranty work must be performed by TentoVision-authorised personnel.
What is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused during shipping due to inadequate packaging by the customer
- Damage from fire, flood, electrical surges, or other force majeure events
- Damage from normal wear and tear, misuse, modifications, or unauthorised repairs
- Any transport, installation, or removal costs
How to Claim
Warranty Claim Process
Email sales@tentovision.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorisation before sending any product back to us. Products returned without prior authorisation or missing components may be refused. The customer is responsible for packaging the return securely; TentoVision is not responsible for transit damage on returned items.
Non-Transferable
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of a new Cloud Adapter from TentoVision. It is not transferable to subsequent owners. If you purchased from a distributor or Partner, please contact them for warranty service.
Intellectual Property
8.1 TentoVision's IP
All intellectual property rights in the Service, the Platform, and TentoVision's technology belong to Tentosoft Solutions Private Limited. Your use of the Service does not give you any ownership rights in TentoVision's intellectual property.
8.2 Your Licence to Use the Service
TentoVision grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service solely for your own lawful purposes, in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer, modify, sell, sublicense, or distribute any part of the Service or the underlying software.
8.3 Your Content
You retain ownership of all video content recorded through your account. You grant TentoVision a limited, worldwide licence to process, store, and transmit your content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you. This licence terminates when your content is deleted from the platform.
8.4 AI and Training
AI Model Development
TentoVision may use anonymised, aggregated data derived from the platform to develop and improve AI models. If you opt in to allowing your cameras to contribute to AI model training, you acknowledge that the resulting models may be made available to other users. TentoVision will not share identifiable personal data or video footage in connection with AI training.
Privacy
TentoVision's End User Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. The End User Privacy Policy is available at www.tentovision.com/privacy.
Your Legal Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service — including any recording or monitoring carried out through the platform — complies with all applicable privacy, data protection, and surveillance laws in your jurisdiction. In particular, you must obtain any consents required from individuals who may be captured in recordings made through the Service.
Liability
10.1 Service Provided As-Is
Service Disclaimer
TentoVision provides the Service on a commercially reasonable basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. TentoVision expressly disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
TentoVision does not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or free from errors or security vulnerabilities. In particular, TentoVision makes no warranty that the Service will prevent crime, loss, or harm, or that video footage will always be recorded, stored, or accessible.
10.2 Exclusions
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TentoVision is not liable for:
- Loss of or corruption of video data due to device failure, connectivity issues, or expiry of your storage plan
- Any failure of the Service caused by third-party equipment, internet connectivity, or events outside TentoVision's control
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of data, or reputational damage
10.3 AI and Analytics Accuracy
AI Analytics Disclaimer
TentoVision's AI-powered analytics features, including object detection and text recognition, are probabilistic in nature. They may produce false positives, false negatives, or inaccurate results. AI analytics outputs must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any security, legal, safety, insurance, or operational decision. TentoVision is not liable for any loss, harm, or claim arising from reliance on AI analytics outputs, including misidentification of objects, persons, or events.
10.4 Cap on Liability
TentoVision's total aggregate liability to you for all claims under these Terms is limited to the total subscription fees you have paid to TentoVision in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Where the claim arises within the first twelve months of your subscription, liability is limited to the total fees paid up to the date of the claim.
10.5 Consumer Rights
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction, which cannot be excluded or limited by contract. Statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
10.6 Business Users — Indemnity
If you use the Service for business purposes, you accept that the limitations and exclusions in this Section apply in full. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TentoVision and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from or related to:
- Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law
- Any unlawful surveillance, monitoring, or recording carried out through your account
- Any violation of a third party's privacy, data protection, or biometric rights in connection with your use of the Service
- Your failure to obtain required consents or to comply with applicable surveillance and recording laws
- Any misrepresentation made by you to an end user, employee, or third party regarding the capabilities of the Service
Important Service Limitations
11.1 Not an Emergency Service
Critical Notice
TentoVision is a cloud video management platform. It is not an emergency response service, an alarm monitoring service, or a crime prevention system. TentoVision does not monitor your cameras in real time, does not respond to incidents, and does not contact emergency services on your behalf.
In the event of an emergency, you must contact the relevant emergency services directly. The Service must not be used as a substitute for appropriate security, safety, or emergency measures.
11.2 Infrastructure Dependencies
The availability and performance of the Service depends on factors outside TentoVision's control, including:
- Your internet connection
- Electrical power supply
- The performance of your cameras and local network equipment
- The availability of third-party cloud infrastructure providers
TentoVision is not liable for service interruptions or data loss caused by failures in any of these dependencies. You are responsible for maintaining adequate internet connectivity, power supply, and equipment to support the Service.
Termination and Suspension
12.1 Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings at app.tentovision.com or by contacting sales@tentovision.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund is issued for any remaining time in the period.
12.2 TentoVision's Right to Suspend or Terminate
TentoVision may suspend your access to the Service, or terminate your account, at any time if:
- You breach these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- We reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive activity
- We are required to do so by law
We will give you notice where reasonably practicable, unless the circumstances require immediate action.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Account Closure
When your account is closed or your subscription ends:
- Your access to the Service ceases
- Your video data is deleted as described in Section 5.6
- You must cease use of any TentoVision software or materials
- Outstanding payment obligations survive termination
Changes to These Terms
TentoVision may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our business practices, or applicable law. We will give you at least 14 days' notice of any material change by email or through a notice in your account.
Acceptance of Changes
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, except where applicable consumer protection laws in your local jurisdiction provide otherwise.

TentoVision encourages you to contact us at sales@tentovision.com in the first instance to resolve any concerns informally before commencing any formal proceedings.
